Clad in NDP orange, Fernando mulls over the party's platform in advance of putting the final touches on his position paper, as requested by Tom Mulcair. The deep contemplation in evidence here will surely be of benefit to all Canadians after his recommendations are adopted post-election.
Here we see Councillor Costa ruminating on the weighty matters put forward at this evening's City Council session. With great power comes great responsibility. In Fern we trust.
Perpetual ladies' man, Fernando eschews convention - wearing his sporty outerwear to bed. Commenting on the matter later he mused, "Obviously you need a track suit if you're going to be working up a sweat". Touché.
Never being one to bask in the spotlight, Fernando exudes an unmatched composure in the face of political challenges, directing events as a general would: from the rear. Leaning nonchalantly against the tiller, he casually guides the ship of state through whatever treacherous waters it may encounter, as though they were the languid streams of a familiar dreamland.
Of course it's not all work with Fernando, as is evidenced by the infectious joie de vivre on display in this candid moment. Gives one pause to reflect on the similarities between Fernando, and his mentor Bernie, with respect to their fondness for weekends.
Secure in the knowledge that Easter is soon to arrive, Saint Fernando mentally prepares himself for the chocolate deluge that is certain to come, by way of the holy basket-toting Rodent of God.
Master statesman Fernando enjoys a much deserved nap, having jotted down some quick remarks for his main man Abe to lay down on the people. Something about "Four score and seven beers ago..."
